String-O-Matic is a practical office tool to be able to do advanced searches and replacements on all types of documents. It is specially designed for use by programmers and webmasters.

From String-O-Matic you can do multiple string replacements on different files simultaneously. It is ideal to modify parts of the source code in HTML files. It also lets you do en masse renamings.

For each of the searches and replacements done String-O-Matic creates a log file with all the actions taken. It can also be configured with various options, like looking for complete words (which is case-sensitive), run from the command line, etc.
